Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made on this website. We kindly ask that you take a moment to read them prior to making a reservation.

Booking Policy

The booking conditions set out apply to bookings made directly on the Hotels’ website. They also apply to bookings made using any third party websites. Booking terms and conditions for reservations made on third party websites may be found on the website at which the booking is made.
On booking 100% of the first nights room rate will be charged to confirm the reservation. It is your responsibility to review the booking details including the total price and deposit payable and submit accurate information when making a booking.
Rates advertised are per room per night unless otherwise stated.

Rooms are subject to maximum occupancy rules. If you would like further details please contact us.

At the time of booking we will take your credit/debit card details and you authorise the use of this card for any sums that become owing to us.  We shall also have the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit at the time of booking in certain circumstances or if the booking includes the supply of certain items or services.  You are responsible for ensuring that each person who stays at the hotel under your booking complies with these terms even if you do not stay with us.

A booking is binding once it has been confirmed. This may be given verbally, in writing or through the booking system. When making a booking, you are required to state your name, address, arrival and departure date, number of guests and method of payment. Packages & Offers are non transferable and non-refundable and paid in full at the time of booking.
Your reservation and the room allocated will be confirmed by e mail. If you require a specific room please call the hotel directly. We will endeavour to honour this preference, however we do not guarantee that your chosen room will be available and we may need to allocate an alternative room to you for operational or safety reasons.

Price lists for additional items, such as restaurant meals and drinks are on display at relevant locations within the Hotel and are available on request.

For security reason we only allow our staff members and checked-in guests in our hotel rooms.

Check-in and Check-out Times

Rooms are available from 3pm. Latest check-in time 10pm and your room is guaranteed until then. Late arrivals will be classed as ‘no-show’ and as such the first nights room rate will be charged. Rooms must be vacated by 11am.

The Hotel does not have facilities to store luggage for early arrivals/ late departures and accepts no responsibility for theft, loss or damage to luggage left in the hotel.

Public Areas Opening Time

The hotel is open from 7.30am until 11pm, last orders at the Bar is at 10.30pm.  Please note, the public areas are closed for the night and guests will be asked to retire to their bedrooms at 11pm.

Minimum Night Stays

We operate a 2-night minimum on Friday & Saturday nights during peak times & Bank Holidays For last minute availability please email or call our reservations team.

Children

All children (a person under 16 years of age) staying at the Hotel must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Minors under the age of 18 are not permitted to stay alone.  Cots and extra beds are available in most of our rooms. However, these are limited and subject to availability. Additional charges apply. Please check at the time of booking.

Dogs

Dogs are very welcome in the bar area, lounge and gardens. We have four dog friendly rooms: Cockly Moss, Stone Arthur, Robin Ghyll & Great End all of which have convenient access to the garden. We charge £15.00 per dog, per stay. Please refer to our Dog policy for further details.

Cancellation Policy

All deposits are non-refundable. Should you need to cancel however,  it is normally possible to transfer your deposit to a future booking date within one year of the original booking date if we have at least 1 weeks notice except for peak times and bank holiday weekends.

Please note that bookings are made via a third-party channel attract certain rates, fees or special offers that may not be eligible for cancellation, refund or change. By making a reservation with a third-party provider, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy and to any additional terms and conditions that may apply to your booking.

Cancellation by us
Very occasionally we may need to cancel your Booking.  In certain circumstances you may be given a refund but we shall have no further liability to you arising out of such cancellation.

Early Departure
Early departure before the agreed day must be informed at the latest by 4:00 pm on the day before. If your reservation is for several nights the hotel is entitled to charge you the full amount for the whole stay. Early departure before the agreed day may also cause changes to the original room rate.

Group/Hen/Stag Policy

For the comfort of our other guests we ask that we are made aware of any Group, Hen or Stag parties at the time of booking, and we may refuse the booking if we feel it may compromise the enjoyment of our other guests. If you book for a Group, Hen or Stag party without notifying us prior to the booking we reserve the right to refuse the booking upon arrival.

For group bookings for 4 or more rooms please be aware that in order to secure a reservation we require payment in full for all rooms at the point of booking and a valid credit card to save on the reservation.

Smoking Policy

The Hotel is a completely non-smoking facility. Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the building and is only permitted in the designated area at the front of the Hotel.

Lost Property

We are more than happy to post any lost items subject to the costs of postage. Due to the high volume of lost property we reserve the right to give to charity or dispose of lost property if it is unclaimed 2 weeks from the stay date.

Damage to Hotel Property

The hotel reserves the right to charge any individuals causing deliberate, accidental or reckless damage to the hotel’s property or structure. If such damage is discovered during the stay it will be drawn to the guests attention but if discovered after guests have departed then we have the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit/debit card, or send an invoice for payment to the registered booker’s address.

Gift Vouchers

When making a reservation using a Gift Voucher the booking must be made in advance quoting the unique ID/Reference number. The gift voucher must be presented on arrival. Any reservation made using a voucher will be subject to our normal booking policy. Gift vouchers may only be redeemed once, may not be exchanged for cash, cannot be replaced and no change will be given. Valid for 12 months from date of issue. We reserve the right to refuse payment by gift voucher if a reservation has not been made or the voucher is not within date or presented on arrival. Terms & Conditions subject to change

Parking

The Hotel has its own car park, there may be limited spaces available and space may not be available for the duration of your stay. Cars and their contents are left entirely at the owner’s/guests own risk. We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage however caused (save as may not be excluded or restricted by applicable law).

Guest Behaviour

Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with Company procedures and/or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of the Hotel, its employees and guests and their health and safety.  Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the Hotel, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff.  We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the Hotel if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case we shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.

Facilities

At certain times, facilities may become unavailable due to maintenance, adverse weather conditions or other reasons beyond our control.  We will attempt to keep all Hotel guests informed of these circumstances however this may not always be possible.  If any facility is particularly important to your stay, we would advise you to check directly with the Hotel in advance of arrival.

Payment Policy

Credit card details are entered on a secured page and are transferred using SSL to our payment provider.
