Lake District Activities with The Eltermere
There are a wealth of activities available in and around Eltermere, here is just a handful of ideas from our ever expanding range -
Walking in the Langdales
Walking is the number one activity here and there is no better place in the U.K. The Langdales offer the most superb walks and the beauty is awesome. There is a walk for every level. We are very thrilled to be able to assist in explaining many of the walks and finding one to personally suit. There are no less than seven walks which can be taken directly from the hotel.
The Eltermere Inn and Local Guide Mike Wood have been working together to bring you the perfect day out. Safely enjoy a day on the hills with Mike followed by a night at the Eltermere Inn. www.mikewoodmountain.co.uk
We also have plenty of space in our drying room for wet clothes and boots!
Grizedale and Whinlatter Forest Park and various cycle and bridle paths throught the Langdales, Coniston and Ambleside.
There are a wealth of beautiful gardens - Copt Howe, Levens, Holehird, Holker, Stagshaw, and Muncaster. We are hoping to be organising some garden tours, please check events for details.
There is so much to see and do - historical sites include Wordsworth Museum, Beatrix Potter's house, Ruskin's house, lots of National Trust properties to visit, and of course various cruises on the Lakes; Windermere, Derwentwater & Ullswater. We also have the Theatre on the Lake at Keswick and Zefferillis Jazz Cafe and Cinema in Ambleside.
At Windermere, Ambleside, Derwentwater and Ullswater.
